Control function
When a component is manufactured to tight tolerances, the result must be verified against the drawing and CAD data. Hagema therefore has an in-house inspection function where machined components can be measured in a temperature-controlled measuring room.
We use a CNC-controlled coordinate measuring machine and optical measuring equipment to verify components manufactured in our production.
Dimensional inspection in a temperature-controlled measuring room
Temperature affects the dimensions of both components and measuring equipment. Inspection is therefore carried out in our temperature-controlled measuring room, where stable conditions can be maintained during measurement.
Our inspection function is used alongside the manufacture of technical components, from development parts and prototypes to recurring production. By measuring the component after machining, we can compare the finished result with the customer's specified requirements.
CMM measurement against CAD models
For coordinate measurement, Hagema uses a CNC-controlled Aberlink AxiomToo coordinate measuring machine. CMM measurement allows the geometry of a manufactured component to be evaluated against the customer's 3D model and specified dimensions.
This is relevant for components where dimensions, form, positions and geometric relationships need to be verified after machining.
The inspection function is closely linked to our CNC-milling, where we machine technical components in materials including aluminium, copper, brass, titanium, steel, stainless steel and plastics.
Optical measurement of micro-machined components
Coordinate measurement is not the right method for every geometry. For extreme precision requirements in micro-machining, we therefore use optical measuring microscopes with magnification of up to 500x.
Optical measurement complements the coordinate measuring machine when very small geometries need to be inspected and measured. Read more about our micro milling capabilities in our temperature-compensated production environment.
part of the manufacturing process
Dimensional inspection should be viewed as part of the overall manufacturing process. Hagema works with machining of everything from development parts and prototypes to series production. In addition to milling, we also offer CNC turning for shorter production runs.
Send us your component data
Do you have a component with defined tolerances or inspection requirements? Send us your 3D model in STEP or X_T format together with a PDF drawing, requirements specification, material and quantity.
Contact Hagema and we will review the documentation and assess how the component can be manufactured and inspected.
